The RS department welcomed guests from the Salvation Army to talk with our year 9 GCSE classes. The students really enjoyed learning about how Ruth and Ian’s Christian beliefs drive their actions and how this is central to how they lead their lives. They talked about the different ways they can provide aid and support to homeless people in Plymouth and the importance of helping others. Students heard about the historical roots of the Salvation Army and the interesting ways in which Christian practices can be recognised in todays society. Students asked some really interesting questions and learnt a tremendous amount about faith, beliefs and importance of personal values.
