Salary – Leadership Spine points 11 to 15

This is an exciting opportunity to join a restructured Senior Leadership Team in a school with huge potential and high ambitions, and to play a key role in driving forward our quest for sustained excellence. You would be joining a forward-thinking and supportive team, where colleagues are dedicated and restless to take our school to next level and are wholly committed to securing the best academic and personal development outcomes for our young people.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant impact of successful school leadership and have the flexibility to complement the skills and experience of other team members. You will be expected to lead developments in either assessment, reporting & the strategic use of data to raise achievement, or e-learning and associated technological innovation to support teaching and learning and communication. The exact remit of the posts may be shaped according to the strengths of the successful candidates.

If you have the necessary experience and attributes to help shape our journey to become a great place to learn, a great place to work and a great place to collaborate with, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

What we can offer:

  • An opportunity to join a hardworking and collegiate SLT, under the leadership of a newly-appointed Principal, and be afforded both the autonomy and support to play a key role in school improvement;
  • An ethos of high aspiration for students and staff, and a culture that values personal relationships;
  • A wonderful student and parent community who are a pleasure to work with;
  • A hardworking and committed team of teaching and associate staff;
  • A strong commitment to your training and development to support you in moving to Deputy Headship and beyond in due course.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a high level of emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and an ability to form good relationships with colleagues, students, parents and governors;
  • Is able to share a vision, is receptive to change, can initiate new ideas and contribute to strategic development;
  • Puts students at the heart of what drives their decision making to ensure that all students achieve their fullest;
  • Has aspirational expectations for all students and colleagues, underpinned by a positive, ‘can do’ attitude;
  • Will consistently exemplify excellence as a member of the leadership team and as a classroom practitioner;
  • Is able to drive, build and sustain strong teams that challenge, motivate and empower others to deliver consistent, high quality results;
  • Is able to maintain a sense of proportion and humour whilst working under pressure;
  • Values every aspect of the life of the school.

If you have the necessary experience and attributes to help shape our journey to become a great place to learn, a great place to work and a great place to collaborate with, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
