Hele’s School chose to convert to Academy Status in April 2011. It is managed by Hele’s Trust, and is funded directly from Central Government. The Trust is the employer of the staff.

The Governors who are also Trustees are directly involved in and responsible for most of the elements which affect the day-to-day running of our school. On most matters the school itself is your first point of contact.

For general parent and public enquiries,  please contact the School Reception in the first instance on 01752 337193.

Hele’s remains a close partner with the local authority, but is no longer maintained by Plymouth City Council. There are certain matters, like home-to-school transport and special provision for pupils with special educational needs, which involve the school but are the separate statutory responsibility of the LEA.
