Students Charlotte Arundel and Emily Darcy were given the opportunity to visit the European Parliament in Strasbourg in France.   Both students are studying Languages at the school and also very keen on politics.

One of the days they went to the Parliament and were given a tour, they then had a video conference with Claire Moody, the Labour MEP in the South West.  She discussed current affairs with them and was very interested to hear their thoughts and opinions.

On the actual Euroscola day the girls were mixed into different language groups depending on which topic they had chosen to discuss.   There were students from all over Europe including; France, Germany, Spain, Cyprus and Croatia.  The main subjects that were up for discussion were the Youth Parliament and the migration situations.

Charlotte and Emily commented “This trip was an amazing experience and would definitely recommend this to anyone who is studying a language.  We both really feel that this has developed our language skills”.
