We will provide all young people, regardless of ability, with a broad, appropriate & experientially rich extended curriculum, which takes Hele’s students into their communities and further afield and which recognises that learning is for life, not just for exams. Our learning community will be safe, purposeful, challenging, and will foster mutual respect between all members, so as to enable each & every young person to achieve their full academic, spiritual, physical and creative potential, and to be the best they can be.

The Hele’s School curriculum comprises all learning and other experiences that we provide for our learners. This includes the National Curriculum, religious education, collective worship, sex and relationships education, drug and health education, careers education, extra-curricular activities and wider out-of-classroom learning, both home and abroad.

Hele’s strives to be a school at which success, inclusion, enjoyment and a sense of personal well-being are our continuing hallmarks.

Our aim is to support all young people into meaningful and satisfying adult lives and this means taking care to give every one of our learners the chance to succeed in whatever fields their strengths lie.
