Health & Wellbeing Personal Development

December 15, 2015

Year 9 PD – term 3 will be Health and Wellbeing. As part of this letters were sent home inviting your child to participate in this school-based research project. Your child should only participate if you and she/he want to; choosing not to take part will not disadvantage you or your child in any way and they will still take part in the lessons. Before you decide whether you want your child to take part, it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what your child’s participation will involve. Please take time to read the letter (contact details can be found at the end of this information sheet). The purpose of the study is to find out about your child’s thoughts on and experiences of health and wellbeing. We aim to deliver a programme called the ‘Who Cares?’ Project, that helps improve knowledge, health and wellbeing in young people. We are inviting year 9 students to take part in this study in order to assess whether this programme is an effective resource for teachers in helping them support their students.

In case you did not receive the letter there is an electronic version for you to download and fill in.
