Hospitality and Catering

Why do we teach Hospitality & Catering?

Food Technology, Hospitality & Catering develops skills that are easily transferable, relevant and sought after in a wide range of career paths in the industry and also for future life. Students learn a range of practical skills, and also about food safety, nutrition and healthy eating. We teach the fundamental skills of teamwork and communication that can be applied in a range of careers and situations. Students work and apply themselves differently in the kitchen compared to a conventional classroom allowing them to be time effective and independent; the sense of pride and achievement that students feel having made a superb plate of food is immeasurable.  Above all students learn real work skills to allow them to succeed in a real work environment.
