IMPORTANT UPDATE RE. NATIONAL SCHOOL CLOSURES
Dear Parent/Carer,
Following the Prime Minister's address to the nation this evening announcing a national lockdown from midnight tonight until February, please be advised that:
- All students, in all year groups, will move to remote learning until February Half Term.
- Those already booked onto our onsite supervised remote learning provision should attend school as usual tomorrow and will access their lessons remotely from a Computer Room - these parents/carers have been informed of this via email this evening.
- We will reissue the guidance over the coming days for how to access our vulnerable/key worker provision where it is absolutely essential for eligible families. Please await this guidance before contacting school.
- For those in Year 11 and 13, we are awaiting further information from the government following the announcement that "not all exams can go ahead as planned this summer”. Ms Clapham, Assistant Principal, has this evening emailed all Year 11 students to offer reassurances and quell any understandable anxieties that may arise, and Mr Stone, Assistant Principal, has done the same with Year 13 students.
We appreciate this is a frustrating and worrying time for all, and the lack of notice to plan for such a significant change to policy will undoubtedly place a great number of people under significant pressure. We value your support and patience as we plan our response to this directive this evening.
Kind regards,
Justine Mason
